Yes & maybe... The thing everyone needs to realize about rifles is that they can be very particular about ammo. Two identical guns can shoot very differently with the same ammo. My Browning X-bolt .270 loves this ammo in 130 grain but shoots terrible with it in 150 grain. If you want precision from your rifle you really have to buy several brands and sizes to see if your gun shoots one better than another. If you're satisfied with 'close enough to hit a deer' then most anything will suffice.
As far as this bullet is concerned, I don't think there's a better performing bullet out there for medium to large game.
