clips onto belt or other strap. Not a 'hoop' holster, but a clip holster.

A:
you could clip it on but I prefer to use a belt, the clip is stainless steel and somewhat stiff when it comes to opening it .

The case is clip on, no belt required. The clip on the back of the case is metal, and I like to clip it either to my waist band or the inside of my pocket, or I'm sure that you could clip it on to a belt

i dont think the blades were designed to cut hooks. however they will cut hooks. the blades are razor sharp when new and i think the blades would be damaged using them to cut hooks.

the cutter blades are very hard and I think brittle, have cracked some before, more usefull for cutting line and mono leaders.Put a 8/0 gamagatsu circle hook through my finger no pliers we had onboard would cut it. I don't think they were intended to cut hooks.

I have yet to try this, but the cutters seem to slice through any line I have including 20 lb mono and braid with no problem at all. I would think it could cut some of the more slim hooks with no problem, obviously no superline hooks, but in any case, the replacement blades are only 5$ I think.
