Judging by a lantern holder I have and the picture provided I'd say the bottom of the holder's arm will fit snuggly into a typical rod holder on a boat or dock. You do need a mount for it if you do not have a rod holder.Answers

The Lantern Holder mounts to any of the Pro base. The Pro Series have a 1/2" diameter thread.
