UTMBowhunter21, to answer your question YES. I'm sure that you've spent more than a few buckson your bow. After spending all the time, money and effort to gert a quality set-up why cut corners at the end? The arrows are one of your most important components of your set-up, spend a few extra buck an you'll be glad you did. It would be like spending hundreds or maybe over a thousand dollars on a killer turkey gun, scope etc. and then buying cheap shells (that don't hold a pattern) to go out hunting with. Hope this helps and good luck!

A:
In a nutshell, if the shafts you buy are listed as straight to within .003" you are good to go. Only the most advanced archer, and then only at longer ranges, would benefit from closer tolerances.

It's important, also, to compute your arrow's grain weight per pound of draw weight. Most bows require at least five grains per pound of draw weight. More than that will slow the arrow, making your judgement of the range to your target more critical, but will result in greater "momentum", which translates into deeper penetration for hunting.
