how do you use this stuff do you just put it on the hook then cast into the courent or what do you do?

no. what you do is put a hook into the bait, twirl the hook around, then crush and and make a ball and put it on the hook. then, FLIP into a pool. (if you cast it, it will fly off.)

There are many ways to rig it, my favorite was described in my review, tie two size 14-10 trebble hooks a foot apart with a bank sinker 8 inches down from the lower hook, cast and keep your line tight. this method can be hard to travel with, so I tied a swivel with a snap to the end of my line an set up the hooks before I go out and put a swivel without a snap on te end of that setupA:
I found this bait works best when fished from shore. The method I use is as follows: Using a maximum of 8lb mono on your reel, thread the line though a 1/2oz lead egg sinker and tie the end to a double ended brass barrel swivel. The the other end of the swivel, tie a 12 to 15 inch leader of 2 to 6lb mono, then put a gold treble hook on the end (I use size 14, 16, or 18 depending on the trout size). The bait will float off the bottom, keeping it out of the weeds, and the fish will feel little resistance when it takes the bait. I like putting the rod in a rod holder, letting some slack off the line so the fish doesn't feel anything behind the bait, and sometimes put a small red & white bobber hanging from the line betwen the 1st and 2nd eyes from the reel on the rod, that way it rises as the line gets taught (fish bites the bait), then it's HOOKUP!!. Put on an egg weight and swivel then add to the swivel about 1ft of 6lb line then on the line add a copper wire treble hook. Then simple put on the hook a small tight ball of powerbait.

Take a small amount about the size of a nickel and roll it on your palm until it becomes a round ball, Take a treble hook, I use a size 16 and then push the hook into the bait.Roll this in your palm some more while maintaining its shape

You can roll this into a worm
Works either way. The power bait ball stays on better

you have to constantly expirement. you might get lucky on the first bottle though. you should try the sparkle first, buy different colors, and try them all.A:
This is just like any baits, trial and error. Over the years I've used just about every color of PowerBait made. Some days white works, some days yellow, and others rainbow, etc., etc.. Personally yellow non-glitter has worked the best for me, but my fishing buddy swears by pink. Some lakes have better success with some colors...then it might change the next day. Take a variety with you and try them for maybe 30 minutes at a time and stick to anything that gets bit. Happy fishing! Dave

Generally speakingFor low light conditions (before sunrise)
You will want to use WHITE or any light colors ie CHARTREUSE, YELLOW, etc..
When the sun is up
You will want to change to more bright and vibrant colors like ORANGE, RAINBOW, etc

Personally, I don't beileve in colors as much as the glitter flash and scent that the bait gives off. I've caught trout with every color I've used. I do though get better results with brighter colors such as chartruese, pink, orange, etc. Only reason I can think of is maybe because it's easier for them to see. Hopefully this helps.1 of 1
