I would think the best time to use these would be spring and early summer because the forage and baitfish are still small.

I use the fish doctor all the time. it is excellent as a follow up bait behind other fisherman as it is a finesse bait.

The fish doctor can be used year round when fished properly. You just have to change the colour for different months. Caught many 5lb + bass on it favourite colour is junebug.
