There are plastic baits, and then there are Zoom baits. The difference is undeniable. Want proof? Just take a peek into your favorite tournament angler's tackle box, and start counting the Zoom bags. For those who lay it on the line every time out, there can be no other choice. Every Zoom soft plastic bait is wholly realistic, super-soft to the touch (for the extra action needed to pull that reluctant money fish) and salt-impregnated to hold even the most tentative bite.

the Gamakatsu octopus hooks work well. they also make finesse and drop shot hooks that would work. they cost a bit more, but Gamakatsu hooks are my personal choice for any hook.
I use a Gamagatzu 3/0 EWG hook that is lazer hardened. I find that it will not fall off this hook, and is great for in-line texas rigging too, due to the hook's flat area.
I don't really use centipedes but I do use senko-style worms and I would highly recommend hooks like the gamakatsu finesse wide gap hooks for wacky rigging. The short shank but wide gap gives you a good hookset without changing the action of the lure. Just be ready to use pliers to get the hook out.
