I have mounted all of mine with the boat on the trailer. It is a little harder but when I am at the lake I want to be fishing and not working on the trailer.

Yes, I took my boat off and tied it to the dock. Only took about 10 minutes to install.

It should work on a pontoon. It is about 3 1/2 feet tall. I have only used it on speed boats and bass boats.

It should work on a pontoon boat if you have 4-5 inches clearence between your boat and trailer loaded. It will not fit all trailers

1. How tall? – Approximately 3 ft (from where it mounts on trailer)
2. Will this work on a Pontoon Boat? – No – this product should only be used on flat bottom or v-hull type boats
3. Will work on any trailer? – Again- should only be used on boat trailers designed for flat bottom or v- hull type boats
