I do a lot of crappie fishing, and when throwing a jig I use a weighted bobber with a small split shot underneath the bobber to increase casting distance. Which reel would best accompany this rod for that type of fishing, baitcaster or spincast?

How long is the butt length? I would like the distance from the reel seat to the end of the butt.I'm looking for a pike rod with a longer butt for leverage.
