The tube is a couple feet long but you could easily extend it with some cheap tubing from your local hardware store

The supply tube is at least 6' long. It is generic supply tubing that can be bought at a local pet/aquarium store.

It wil work fairly, but the issue with bags are water to fish ratio. The more and larger fish you have the more water is needed not only for O2 but also to keep a healthy slime layer on fish. I find using 2 bags and seperating the fish to work better. Thie gives more water per fish. keeping the water cool with a couple cubes of ice will help greatly also

I'm planning on using this for more of a livewell to keep the day's catch alive. If i had a good sized cooler and used this aerator could it keep a few fish alive for a couple hours? What if I used two of these?

A:
The more 02 you supply the water with the better. It will work just fine, as a bonus add a little ice and some O2 booster to the water. You should be able to enjoy your fresh catch just fine. Just keep in mind the more fish you add to a livewell the more water and space you will need. There must be enough space for O2 and water to keep the protective slim on the fish. The lack of the slime will kill the fish just a fast as no O2

1 will be fine, Just remember you cant seal the cooler there has to be a way for air to enter and release and a light color cooler with stay cooler, Because when the water gets hotter the fish will belly up on you!

when it worked, mine was louder than I expected. I thought the fish might hear it through my fiberglass boat. Feel certain they could if in an aluminum single hull boat.

A:
This unit is very quiet. On the low setting you have to strain to hear it from 5+ feet away. Slightly louder on high setting but still very, very quiet compared to my old aerator that was another brand. If noise is your only concern then don't hesitate. Not only quiet but puts out abundant air for even very large minnow buckets. 20+ gallon size is what my bucket is.

It does make some noise, but not too much. It just makes a soft humming noise. I don't think it should spook the fish. If your worried about the vibration spooking the fish, maybe try setting it on a peice of foam or something to mask the vibration. Hope this was helpful.

If it is a big enough cooler for five bass then I'm pretty sure it would keep them alive. However, if you plan on keeping five bass in a cooler, it will have to be a very big cooler.

It has a clip that you clip onto the outside of your bait well. It is about 6x4x2 inches. Very easy to operate. Grew up in springfield - just down the road from you...

It has a low setting for smaller minnow buckets which works great on the size you are asking about. I also have a 20+ gallon size minnow bucket that the high setting works excellent on. It's a tough little aerator and won't harm your minnows. I fish almost daily through the ice with minnows in the winter and haven't lost one yet due to the aerator. Hope this helps.

I use a 10 quart minnow bucket and keep it on the low speed and it works great for me. When is gets really hot, I use it on the top speed and it keeps the minnows lively.

A:
Not sure the size of container you can use it on, but it works extremely well for the 5 gallon bucket size. If you want to go with something larger like a livewell, I would suggest getting a marine cooler and setting up a pump system in it. I believe this product is more geared toward baitfish, and not your average LMB.

You first have to insert a D-size battery. Then just toggle the black switch on top of the unit. Push one way for slow, the other way for fast.
