These Bass Pro Shops Crappie Limit Tubes are one of the surest ways to reach your crappie limit. Made durable, yet soft, these outstanding tube baits offer tantalizing multi-colored tails that have proven to be very effective at enticing weary slabs to strike. On top of the pulsating, breathing action of the tails, our Crappie Limit Tube baits are heavily salted for added flavor and to make fish hold the bite longer. 10 pack.

I want to know what the best lure is to use on a lake that has few crappie. I fish at lake Champion (Texas). Our lake used to hold literally countless numbers of crappie. When the lake went down, the crappie count went down with it. Why is this, and what would be the best lure to use to catch "The Last of the Crappie"
If I only had one lure, I would use a good tube jig. green skirt and black head. Also, a good rainy year will promote a good spawn and help the crappie population. Always throw the biggest fish back as they are the most prolific egg producers.
I don't have an answer to your "why" question unless the draw down happened when the crappie spawn was in its early stages...crappie populations generally are relatively quick to recover. Live minnows in small sizes are tough to beat but so are crappie sized (small) multi-colored tubes and/or Hal flies.
