I would say 5-8lbs. It just rolls up for storage when you want to take it down.

It lays down flat as three separate poles, but the end sticks up a few inches where the bend in the two side poles matches to the cross bar. Does not lay *completely* flat.

Manufacturer claims 500lbs. My wife and I used it together a dozen times or more (combined 400lbs) but a year later it broke under our weight. See my review.
