I was told that when fishing these, especially for cudas, to switch the treble hook with a circle hook because the cudas will swallow the whole thing. are the circle hooks as effective?

I found if you do switch, hook ups are not as often because the closed hook .But they are safe for the the fish when you hook up.

I wouldn't put a circle hook on an agressive lure like this. If cuda are around use wire.
