They can be stapled, but for best results, glue them down. The bunk padding carpet comes in 8" or 12" widths, and 12 feet long. If that is not wide enough for you, you can order a cut of the standard carpet the same length as your boards in either 6' or 8' width to customize your own bunk pads.

The premium is only available as an 8' wide product. You can order an 8' x 21' piece, and then use the extra 2' of width to cut into strips for your trailer bunk pads so that your trailer will look as good as your boat! Hope this helps!

You would get an 8' x 4'. However, the minimum size is an 8' x 5', so you would need to order at least that amount. Good luck with your boat!

Yes you will. They will just fit a little tighter. Unless you are a carpet layer I would highly recommend getting a pro to do your lids. The corners are a pain.

The density of this carpet will make it tougher closing your lids. You can trim the carpet on the edges, or you could simply seal the edges with urethane or something similar, and carpet only the top of the lid. If doing this, be sure to use a contact cement that is water proof and for marine / rubber back carpeting. This will provide a quicker bond than the #1167, and allow you to stretch it & smooth it on this short piece a little better. For larger areas, the 1167 works well, but it dries more slowly than contact cement.

Not sure how you can find out the exact color, but you can request color swatches of what you think might work from the Bass Pro Customer Service folks, and see how well that matches to your existing color.

Figure on 100" long (it's 8' wide, but sometimes it may be a little wider, then you have to allow for packaging as well), by 11" in diameter. FedEx & UPS consider this to be 100"x11"x11" for their dimensional purposes. The weight on this piece would be ~40 lbs.

No, you can only get 8' wide in the Premium quality. The 2' wide strip that would be left over should work for replacing a couple of your bunk pads on your trailer to dress it up while you're fixing up your boat. Good luck!

This is a dense carpet, and doesn't allow the pile to lay over much. For lids, you'd be better suited with the standard, or possibly the deluxe material. The carpet is ~ 3/8"-7/16" after the marine rubber backing is added, and with the stiffer pile of the 24 oz. carpet, it's harder to get the lids to close without having to push harder.

Yes. If you don't glue it down properly, the marine backing will eventually deteriorate and allow the carpet to start coming apart. With a good glue down, this carpet should last for a long time.

If there is a surcharge for ordering 20' over 14', then order the 2 different lengths, as long as you are ordering the same width, they'll most likely come off of the same roll & you'll never see any difference between the 2 pieces.
