I am not sure about the rain, my husband hasn't had his out in the rain...but it has stood up to the opening and closing alot. He really likes it better than any wallet/checkbook cover he has had as far as it has a place for everything, his cards, his check book, his hunting license...ect. It is a great buy!

Seems like it so far. Only had it for about 2 weeks now. Not sure if it can get wet will find out with being out on the water so often. I sit on it all the time even with a pen in it and does not bust the pens and doesnt feel like theres a wallet back there
