Red Field optics was bought out by Leupold. They have an excellant eye relief. I just bought a set of red fields 7x50 they work well.

Depends on what "better" means. The higher magnification will enable you to see further, but the image will be more unstable the higher that you go. The higher the objective gives you a larger field of view, and brighter image, especailly in low light, but will generally result in a larger and heavier unit, for the larger lenses.

I am left eye dominate and am wondering if not having a diopter can possibly ruin this as a purchase for me. I am brand new to binoculars.
