Can't get it to work.

Details: 
installed this extractor on my T/C Encore 50X209 Magnum, but I don't see how it can operate as illustrated.
My extractor is identical to the factory installed one with exception of recessed ring in the metal corresponding to the illustration where it shows the physical loacation of a screw on the posterior serface of the extracor. I do not have any threadings, a hole in the metal, or a screw as illustrated in the photograph of this item.
The installed E-Z Tip Extractor cannot be turned clockwise out of the way to allow the breech plug to be removed. Additionally my barrel does not have a treaded hole that would accept a screw in the region of this extractor.
What am I missing?
