log land

Details: 
i am hunting on log land, a year or two ago the cut and burned long leaf pines, the ground is still chared and they have replanted it a last summer. I want to know what will grow in tough conditions and poor rain, i plant to kill the weeds, and fertilize the seed, will this work , if it will what will i need to do, if it wont what can you recomend. I dont have a any machinery, and i plan to plant on the side of a hill and in and around a small river bed by oaks. i live in south mississippi if that helps.

It may with proper care and luck, but I don't think it will. I followed directions and even went beyond what was required. Mine didn't even come in. I would not expect great results.

can never go wrong with 13-13-13 can normally get 50lbs of it at your locate feed dealer about $15

I planted this in GA last year and all i did was till a few inches deep, threw the seed out, raked it over then threw out 10-10-5 fertilizer and it came up great, but i had a real small plot and the deer mowed it down pretty quick
