These can be used for trout as well as a variety of fish. There is a good tid-bit on how to use these for lake trout in the customer reviews section.

When floater jigs where designed, they where meant to be used on bottom bouncer jigs for walleye, however, the uses for this bait as well as many others are up to the user.
