which is usually better?

Answers

A:
It depends on a few things. How fast you want to go or water clarity. I believe with the double blades you can fish it slower than you can with the single blade. Also the double blade creates more of a vibration so it would work really well in stained water.

The single blade works well enough for me. I caught this nice one on it.

I have used single blades in the past but can get bites with the doubles when the singles wont at times . Never have noticed the opposite to be true . So anymore I only buy doubles for bass fishing and singles for crappie . The black and yellow is a truely awesome color . Others are the white , chartruese , black and chartruese . If I was buying only 3 of these doubles I would buy all three black and yellow no matter what kind of water I was fishing . Be sure to back off your drag the closer you get a fish to you if using braid or any line for that matter especially when dealing with big fish in the over 6 lb. class . I did lose a for sure 10 pounder at the boat when he straightened out the hooks back straight as could be on 4/15 pound braid . Don't let that keep you from buying these . They rock . They really have a unique ungulating action that really catches fish in anything 8 ft. and up . Hope that helps out in some way and tight lines for you .

I use all white. This is because the bass on my part of the river mainly feed on shad. Match the hatch is the best advice I can give. Whichever closest resembles what the bass are currently feeding on.

Black and yellow is by far the best out there for stained - muddy water . Black/white, yellow/chartruese/green, and yellow, and white all work well depending on cloud cover, water clarity , weather, and what they are feeding on at the time . These are not meant to be slow rolled . You will need something quite a bit heavier for that. Even though they are colorado blades they can be moved quickly and thats the way to go . I even like to wake them on top sometimes . I have tried both the single and double blades and can't ever remember the singles out performing the doubles . I'm sure there must be times that the singles might be better but anyhow I now use the doubles exclusively and am very confident thats the way to go . Don't go with out at least 3-4 of the black/yellow doubles in your box at all times . As Scott Martin would say happy pigmonkey hunting .
