Not up to the usual Bass Pro standards that I am accustomed to. This gaff is small (18”) and not particularly useful… especially for a boat application. But even for surf/shore, the wrist cord loop isn't big enough to fit even a medium - large hand and when the gaff is extended (max 27”), the shaft & hook spin easily within the handle making it extremely difficult to gaff anything.
