Is your boyfriend a serious trap shooter? I ask simply because for a recreational shooter (ie: a couple saturdays a month for a few hours) this thrower would be ok. but if he is a serious trap shooter he wont get the performance he is lookig for out of this particular thrower. But then again, its not designed for that anyway. Its a budget thrower. But for a novice, casual or just starting out shooter this would be ok. Its a decent price for what you get.
