The container lid that I ordered fit the container, but did NOT snap closed. I do not understand the concept, especially if you were able to store the meat in the refrig or the freezer!

There's nothing special to the lids to the meat lugs. They are just your standard lids.

If you are close to a BPS I would suggest bringing your lug along and making sure it fits before purchasing it and having to return it.

A long time ago I did by some lugs from Gordon Food Service (GFS) and they do NOT fit the lids but the newer lugs I got from BPS fit fine.

It's just making sure you have the right size.
