I have a wide foot, usually EE or EEE in size 12. No store nearby to try on. What size recommended?

A:
I wear a size 11 shoe and use these in a size 13, which is the largest. That gives me plenty of room for thick socks and stockingfoot waders. So not sure they'll work for you. I will say that they are much roomier in width than the similar Caddis shoe, that I could not wear. Yet they still fit in my covered toe fins. I think a size 13 might work for you, but it might not be enough if you wear thick socks and wader stockings.

These will not stop water from reaching your feet. They work well on top of a stocking foot wader and will fit in a covered toe float tube fin. I would not use them to fish a rocky river or for extended hiking. Great for sandy beach fishing or float tubing though.

The boots are primarily neoprene in construction. They do not have a great deal of support for walking over dry land. I would not use mine for a primary show. As long as you do not wade over the top of the show......it should stay dry.

get a size large enough to put a good arch support/liner, and still have room for an acrylic sock. New, they are quite water repellent.

Yes. The only way water can get in is through the very top of the boot. The boot material itself is impermeable.

These work great with stockingfoot waders and covered toe fins, such as those made by the Creek Company (what I own). A similar fin is sold by Bass Pro Shops. I wear an 11 shoe and use these in a size 13. Plenty of room for wool socks and wader stockingfoot without pinching. And still fits in my fins comfortably (have to wiggle the fin a bit to get them off though).

I think that they would be great for that. The soles would provide great traction on the boat deck, and being neoprene in construction they would be waterproof too. Plus, they are very easy on and off.

No they are not waterproof. They are designed to soak up the water and transfer your body heat to that water. They work just like a wetsuit for a SCUBA diver.

They are not totally waterproof but will provide some protection and would

be non-slip as the bottoms are ridged.

I don't think a Stingrays Barb could penetrate these boots but not 100% sure of it.............. I think you would find that a ray would hit you with a barb if stepped on above the boot line................

Yes. They are not armor plated, just neopreme and a semi hard rubber sole. There are other boots designed for stingray protection. Just walk fairly slow and shuffle your feet along the bottom, the rays will usually scoot away before you can step on them.

These are great for fishing sandy beaches and for float tubing. I would not use these on a rocky river or for extended hiking around boulders. Get a sturdier river wading boot for that. Something that will protect your feet and ankles and give you a good grip on slippery rocks and boulders. I still use felt bottoms for that although I will replace those with something less susceptible to spreading invasive species when they wear out.

No. They are made for wading on the flats. They have a soft sole and are not durable enough for wading streams or rivers.

Yes, they are durable enough, but since I stick my bare foot into them, I would think you might need one size larger if you are going to wear then over waders.

This is how I use mine. They are a little slippery but it is easier to keep your balance since they are lightweight and you can feel the bottom. I will say mid size rocks can be felt in the arches and can hurt a little.

Some of the manufactures have a size conversion chart included in the BPS catalog. Otherwise you will have to try trial and error at the store[most women can relate to this procedure] or check with your fishing friends with a physical shoe size close to yours.

I can't answer your question directly, but I know that mine are not overly wide, so I would think you could find your corresponding mens size and be satisfied. Remember you socks and waders will add bulk.

I have a pair of Breathable Stocking-Foot Waders. I would like to buy a pair of these to wear over my waders as I'm kayaking for stripers, etc. My waders are size 11. Will a size 11 Flats Boot fit or will I have to get a larger size? The wading shes I have were designed to fit so it was a no brainer but I don't wan't to order the wrong size and then have to return them.

These boots fit true to size. In order to fit over the neoprene bootie of your waders, you will need to order at least one size up from your normal shoe size. If the bootie has a lot of "slack" around your foot, you may need two sizes up.

Buying the same size that you wear in a wader boot is a good place to start.

If either one of the Bass Pro Shops stores in Virginia is near your home, trying the different sizes of this boot on to find the perfect fit would be your best bet, especially if you will ever use them by themselves out in the surf.
