I use the 1/16 oz and 1/8 oz the best, but it depends on the depth you are fishing, and what the fish want.

Hello MountainMike: As Charlie Brewer explained it back in the 70's, no matter whether your fishing the Crappie Grub or the 4" slider worm for bass fish the lightest slider head you can get away with. If the crappie or bass are deep go to the next heavier head. Something they didn't mention in thier ads is you can shave off some of the lead on the slider heads to make them weigh even less depending on conditions. I've been using them for over30 yrs. now and swear by them. When they won't bite anything else throw a Slider and your in business!!! I've placed in several tournament using them. With kindest regards, Rick.

white with blue tail or chart with black tail. For bass go with Strike King Baby Craw black with blue flake.

There is an actual bait called the slider. They come as worms or crappie jigs. Those are what they are made for and they work very well. You can also use any grub. Be creative and experement with them because we have all a preffered way to fish these.
