When I first had theese seats I was over 500 pounds! I never had a problem with the base cracking or stripping out. They were a teriffic, durable seat, even in my saltwater, guide use, enviroment. After their 7th year of using the same 3 seats I decided to change them to a newer style......HUGE MISTAKE!!!!! The side pins broke within a year and the seat covers started cracking and I was even down to half of my original weight!

A:
Most boat seats do not have a weight limit rating. There are no standardized test for seats and no way to rate them.

A:
No, install the seat with a swivel mount and spin the seat to face the rear of the boat and fold it down when being towed or if unoccupied when under way to prevent the back from popping up.

A:
It does not. But when running it naturally turns with the back into the wind. If you fold the back down first, it will stay right there.
