A:
I can't answer about the rapalla, but the
american angler blades last about a year. I clean a lot of fish in the spring.
(I am not braging, but I mean a lot of fish)
I have cleaned about 200 crapie and a
lot of waleye this year.
I imagine the blades of all electric knives
last about the same. They are serated and not resharpenable.

I cleaned 500-600 fish with the blades that came with my purchase of the knife and they are still sharp. You can buy replacement blades pretty cheap.

I have owned mine for a couple of years now and I'm still using the original blades. They show no sign of wear.

A:
Mine didn't last 1 fish. Connector of the two blades broke cleaning first fish.

A:
Yes. I have found that the battery operated model is weak and runs the shorter blade faster.

A:
In the plastic cased set, the knife comes with two sets of blades as you mention, two batteries, and a charger.
These knives can be purchased singly cheaper, but do not have extra blade or battery.
Purchasing the set is a better deal.
