The Rapala is a better quality, but the BPS is not as expensive so if you loose a few it wont hurt your pocket book as much! Hope this helps!

A:
Clackin rap is a great lure, but it sinks, so for like 6+ feet of water, I would go with the clackin rap, but small ponds and bank fishing, the floating rat-l-trap is great.

The Strike King Red Eye Shad will do a better job and They offer it in the silent model as well if you fish pressured water,or you fish clear water.

I use them primarily for brook trout, but they will catch bass!As to how big a bass you can catch with these remains to be seen,I guess you could get a one to two pounders if you use your drag, because these lures are small, and the hooks are tiny, but if you hook it wright you could get decent bass.

A:
I've fished in smaller ponds and quarries that contain smaller largemouth and smallmouth bass and these work very well. I work them around cover and over submerged weedbeds (They are generally more weedless than you would expect.) and the bass do hit them regularly and ferociously.
