A definite big fish bait! This meal-sized frog is equipped with long, supple filament legs, for kicking action no other bait can duplicate. Fish with short twitches in the heavy stuff; in open water, you can easily impart a natural bobbing, swimming motion.

I have the original kind but wondering if I should go for these from now on.

A:
Definitely worth the money. It presents a larger "meal" and target. It casts farther and sits in the water like a real frog.

Oh, yes, it is worth it; I used the trophy scum in MN and caught a haul of bass & pike, it's probably the best frog i've used, and I've used Spro & Koppers

A:
I usually cast the frog right on the bank where there are weed beds, then hop it into the water using short hops. Most fish nail it after two or three hops. If in large weed beds I continue hopping to the edge of the weeds and deeper water. When a fish explodes on it,don't panic, reel up the slack pointing the rod towards fish and set the hook hard.

yes since you don't see frogs during the winter i wouldn't recommend using it during the winter but for spring summer and early fall by all means use the frog

The best way to fish this lure is to pop it along the surface among some lily pads, letting the lure sit still for a moment when it gets to a gap in the weeds.

Throw it out into the snaggiest brush or really heavy weeds and hop hop pause. Try this over and over with variations in speed and the bass will let you know what they like. I will even twitch it in the same spot sometimes and get nailed.

It does float. The brass button on the back end makes it ride nose up and helps with casting weight.
