Customer Reviews   Description   Outdoor Answers
The first buzzbait on the market, the Original Lunker Lure Buzzbait was introduced way back in 1976. Due to its incredible fish-catching ability the Original Lunker Lure has often been imitated, but no other lure has consistently produced lunkers the way a water-churning Lunker Lure does. For tough bites, go back to your roots! Original rubber skirt.

A:
I've found the primo time to use the lunker lure is early morn and late eve, but I've had success with this lure all hours of the day and night. I have my best luck using White or White/Red during daylight hours and a darker color during cloudy conditions or after dark. I've also found the chartreuse works extremely well in the spring but no so well in summer or fall. For best action I'd suggest fishing from a boat, casting as close as possible to the bank and if the bank is fairly clear dance the lure off the bank on your retrieve. Always work this lure close to any type structure be it submerged or partially submerged, such as trees, surface vegetation, rocky outcroppings, and be sure and cast under overhanging trees or bushes which cast a shadow on the surface. Always remember, A bad day fishing is better then a good day working! Good Luck.

I like to use it early in the morning and at night. For color choices, use black during the day and white at night.

I keep it simple; chartruese w/ gold blade for daytime stained/dirty water; white w/ nickel blade for clear water; and black for night time and very cloudy days.

I agree with HowardHawgHunter, this is a great lure to use at night. I like to use this bait a lot around wood. If a limb is sticking out of the water, try to hit it with the buzzbait. This makes it look really injured and if there is a bass around, he will eat it 9 times out of 10. Also try casting to isolated wood. There are often fish on little sticks away from a big tree or log. I also like this lure around rocks that stick a little bit out of the water. Again, try to hit the rock with the lure, that gets a lot of bites. Also, i recommend putting a trailer hook on this bait so that you don't lose many fish. Hope this helps.

it's great to use at night, especially during hot summer months. It's also good on calm water in the early morning. I like to use black at night or cloudy conditions and chartreuse during the day or stained water.
