Not built into the float. You'll need to use a suitable bead below a slip knot. I tend to use a small bead that usually comes with the knots. Then I put a larger bead below the smaller. I finish with a small piece of cut aquarium tubing to act as a shock absorber when the beads hit the top of the cork. That saves wear and tear on the top of the cork. I also use the tubing between the float and the sinker.

I fish inshore/nearshore saltwater and use a 1 1/4 ounce trout sinker. I also know of people using a 1 ounce with the 8 inch but I prefer to have the float sit a little lower in the water.

The 3/4oz works fine. Also consider the weight of the jig or bait. Always use a lighter leader so you never loose your bobber during a break off.

I use up to a 2oz. weight for a 3" slip float. The size of the weight determines how high or how low the bobber sets in the water.

I catfish with these floats on 40 lb mono and 100 lb braid. With a 1/2oz egg sinker below the float, they still hold up 8oz-12 oz live baits. The live bait will dance the float around, but a fish big enough to take a bait that big pulls the float under with no problem. I also wrap a 1/4in strip of white reflective tape around the top of the float for better visibility @ night. Excellent product.
