I'd go with anything natural. Whether it is the gizzard shad, bluegill or pumpkinseed colors, you won't go wrong. The shad bite hasn't been heavy here in Oklahoma but I'm sure the sexy shad patterns will pick up soon.

rule of thumb i have been taught dark stain water dark colors ,clear water bright colors or as Mike Iconelli said in an article i read clear water use shock colors bright stuff.
