Good for canoe?

Details:
My hubby and I fish from a 15' canoe in a man-made lake. It does have trees and such that have fallen into the lake
(make great crappie beds!) I need to know if this will hold our canoe steady and what weight we should use?

Below is a link to Bass Pro Shop's anchor buying guide. I've found that a 10 pound River anchor is great for nearly any situation. Plus, it's versatile enough for a rocky/muddy lake/river.
