I wish to use this on my starting battery so can I add it to the battery with all of the other connections?
Is this maintainer waterproof?
Will the plug have to be kept dry when not plugged in?
How about when plugged in?

it is wataerproof. When the plug is connected, it should be kept dry. One wrap of duct tape should be good. It doesn't have to be dry when not plugged in!
