Our experts are impressed with the sculptured, naturally-shaped body designs, the lifelike 3-D Lazer Eyes, the extra-loud rattles, and especially the hot finishes that replicate the natural colorization process (becoming more pronounced in direct sunlight, and somewhat less intense under the surface). All styles are equipped with premium extra-sharp hooks.

This high-riding, rattlin' pencil bait darts and splashes with every twitch of the rod tip. Special body design gives that ''rolling shad'' effect that bass can't resist!

A:
If you look at the sides, at the gill area, there are little slits. The hole takes in water and spits it out the gills, making it look like a dying, struggling fish.

This helps the rattle transfer to the water and also allows a much bigger wake, I've also noticed that it produces bubbles that is strangely similar to a dying baitfish

It is there to create more of a splash when you jerk the bait. Water can come in through this hole and is then ejected out through the "gill" areas of the bait.

I have used these and caught fish on them although they are not my favorite walker they still catch fish! For the price it is a great addition to your aresenal. Just be carefull with what you throw them at. Docks and other hard objects seem to take their toll on these baits. They could be more durable but like I said, for the price they are worth having.

That hole is just to add a little splash when you pop the bait.. Attracts the fish a little more.

Yes they are. I have caught a few stripers on mine. The fish hits hard enough you don't need to set the hook. But, for stripers you have to change the hooks out to something better.
