Universal Instructions: Look for the bolt on in the drum the one closest to the center of the drum. The bolt and nut that came with the winch use this hole. You will want to have the strap with the sewed side down.

Run the bolt through the first hole, only slightly, then through the loop in the strap, and then out the other side of the drum. Secure nut tight enough to eliminate the side-to-side play of the bolt. Over tightening might damage the item.

All you have to do next is rotate the drum to reel in the strap. The strap should pay out from the top away from the handle end.

I hope this works!

5 1/2" x 3 1/2" are the dimensions of the bracket. The dimensions of the holes on the bracket (distance between the holes on the bracket) are 3 1/2" and 2".

A:
Yes this winch comes with a strap. The strap is quality. The winch strap is pre assembled from the factory, all you need to do is bolt the winch to brakets on you frame and bolt on the handle. This winch has a reversable locking mechanism so you can virtually mount it in any position and it will lock down for you. just pull the strap out all the way and crank it back in.

A:
Just remove the large nut with the nylon locking threads put the handle on so the handle sticks out to the side put the nut back on and make sure its snug, but do not over torque the nut. High torque is not needed, just snug it up tight so the handle does not wobble.
