May be a problem with speed control switch. Contact Foxs trolling motor repair. They do good fast work.

Would recommend that you check your batteries and the wirintg. Had a buddy that had the same thing and changed out the batteries and he was good to go. Would also recommend that you use AGM or gel batteries. Standard acid filled batteries tend to die quicker.

the x 65 is an out dated unit and they dont have transducers for them any more . You have to have a newer unit with a different plug on it like any of the H D S units .

throw the motorguide trolling motor away and get a minn kota. seriously i have a practically new 71lbs digital touring edition and it stays in the shop more than on my boat
