depending on the worm rig you use, i just poke these in just above the jig head, or if im drop shotting i will stick one in the tail.
how to put it in a worm? just push it in where ever you want it. ive got these rattles in worms, swim baits, diving frogs, topwater frogs, i have handmade flies with these rattles in them!

Slip them inside a plastic worm, or JB Weld them to a spoon.

The cap material seems to be made out of plastic.

As for the weight, the metal rattles seem to run a little heavier than the glass rattles. Don't know specifically what they weigh.

for weight ... a few grams nothing thats going to add enough weight to alter the performance of your lure and the cap is plastic. in a brass tube the plastic cap means its still loud and effective
