Fits Attwood’s 2-pin straight or angled bases as well as bases from competitors such as Perko®. Made in USA.

Not sure what you have but if it is a 2-pin then it should fit your boat.

Per the instructions provided with the light 14 gauge wire is recommend. 16 gauge may or may not be sufficent depending on total length of wire.

The locking collar does screw in and should work on all standard bow light fittings.

No, the collar is not threaded. I also had a perko base. I took the collar off my old light and switched it out with the one that came with this one. The pins match up fine.

A: 
Visibility is the most important thing, I would want a light that is easily visible from all directions. I would say the light would need to extend a foot or so above the tallest thing in your boat, i.e. motor, seats or yourself.

If its a john boat the light must clear the motor to be visible 360 degrees.
