Mine works great! Remember about the timer. It may not come on until your preset time comes around. If it still doesn't, I'd ask for an exchange. I put mine in this spring and it still works great. Best of luck.

I have pretty much the same setup as you. I have two 750 gph Oxygenator pumps. My old switch was rated at 5 A. This new 4 position timer has a rating of 10 A. This should be ample for your application.

I believe they should. I'm not an electrician, but you should be able to simply use a second set of wires to the second pump. That also means dual fuses. Good luck.

It replaces the switch you have now.
I drilled a 5/16 hole in my dash.
and took the wires off my switch and hooked them to the timer

A:
You have your hot wire (12vdc) coming in to the timer(10amp fuse or circuit breaker) and the ground coming out.
Then you would take the 2 hot wires coming off of your pumps and connect them to the Output terminal on the timer. Then make sure your pumps are grounded to the same circuit of which you grounded the timer to orginally.
Also in case one of the pumps would burn up - you could put a fuse on each hot wire going to each pump from the timer. This would possbly save the fish in the livewell till weigh-in time and also make it easier to troubleshoot later.
