It seems as though the description only mentions the diameter of the rattles (eg: 3mm, 4mm, 7mm).
Is this correct? and if so, how long are each of the rattles?

My guess from looking at them in my hand would be about 3/4 of an inch in length. I have the really short ones though.

i have some 3mm and there about 1/4 of an inch ... i looked at the others and they are shorter as they get larger by about 1mm in length for 1mm of diamater

you can not tie these to a jig but they will fit easily into a jig

There are better alternatives for jigs. But, if you must use this, I recommend getting some shrink tubing from a hardware store and put it on the shank of the hook after you have added your skirt.

be hard to tie to any bait, more for inserting, if using a plastic trailer might be able to insert it

No, these should be inserted into the soft plastics. There aren't any eyelets to tie off to. These should be added to your arsenal for any plastics you throw.

I find the smaller glass rattles to have the sound the fish like the best.
