Yes, this works the best on spinning reels. I have 8 pound and it's good, but I recommend the 12 pound.

I use this line mostly on spinning reels and it works great! Just be mindful as to how you spool it on. I try to keep the line coiling off the spool in the same direction as it goes on the reel. This keeps down the tangles or "bird-nests." You can also just spool it on then attach a swivel and a casting plug. Cast it and reel it in and that should keep the kinks and tangles out.
