I am gutting my jon boat and building a casting deck scratch. I need to know how thick this carpet is so I can properly space adjacent hatches and decking so that they fit snugly after the carpet is installed.

When I replace 1 section of carpeting on the front deck of my 2007 ProTeam 190TX I want it to be the same weight as the original. Does anyone know what weight Tracker uses? I'm gonna guess Standard 16oz because of the cost. Be nice to know for sure though.

After checking with Tracker Marine Boat Part sales, yes -- your 2007 ProTeam 190TX had standard (16oz) carpet installed originally.

I would also use glue and notched trowl and make sure glue was spread good and even and take your time. I would also use electric staple gun if you have one for the under side of the carpet and make sure after you glue carpet to roll it good or put some weight on it and let it set and cure good. I hope this helps.

You'll need to contact a customer service rep. They will use your order number to contact the vendor and obtain a Fedex tracking # for your order. Usually these numbers are available 4 business days after your order is placed. Hope this helps!

this depends on how you are going to cover it if your going to fold under things like doors to storage make shure to account for that always give yourself extra carpet.I would say about 19ft. to be safe but i would make the measurements before I would buy.

There is no pat answer to this. You'll need to measure your boat from bow to stern, and allow for any changes in elevation in the floor of the boat. The easiest thing to do is to take a tape measure, start at the bow, and unroll the tape measure along the bottom of the boat, following any steps up or down, until you get to the stern. If your boat is an inboard and you wish to recarpet the cover, you'll need to measure from the floor up the face of the cover, then add in the distance to the trailing edge of the cover. If you have a lot of lids to cover, include extra carpet for those, as you'll want to make sure that you have plenty of carpet. You can use where you cut out for the larger lids to cover the smaller lids, and then you'll want to make sure you have enough to cover those larger lids as well. If you order a few feet too much, you can always cut them down to use as covers for your bunk boards. Good luck!

How much do I need

Details:
I am covering 5.5ft x12ft long. This boat is a tri-v 16.11inch boat with open bow. I got it for 500 bux and the motor runs with a trailer in great shape. But after ripping ouit the faded red outdoor carpeting the supports and flooring down the middle was rotted. This I knew before buying it. Ants were apparent also. So, I am replacing support boards down the middle and across and in the front bow section. My main question is "how much carpet will I need for this.

Be sure to use marine plywood when replacing the flooring, or to seal the wood before attempting to glue down carpet, as adhesives have a hard time sticking to fresh pressure treated woods. A 6' x 12' long piece should be sufficient, but you may want to allow yourself an extra foot for safe measure, it's better to cut off 9 inches than to be short 2 inches. Good luck!
