I'm very new to the boating scene and will use this only on small lakes and rivers. Will this require a registration with the State of Florida if used with a standard saltwater trolling motor?

You will need to check your local laws to find out if this boat will need to be registered if mounting a trolling motor, or any other type of motor to it.

Here is what I found on Florida DNR web site: Yes, all vessels used on public waterways with any kind of motor must be titled and registered. However, you might call to check by calling 1-888-347-4356.

You just need to purchase 1/2" plywood to make a floor to fit where you want it.

The side of the boat says "For use in protected waters to within 300M of shore", which is about 900 feet and change. I've taken her out in fairly rough pond conditions, but never out on the ocean. It seems like it would be fine if the weather is fairly calm. Check registration regulations in the state you will be in, in some states it only has to be registered if there is a motor on it.

As far as seats, there are stadium seats but no place to attach them. As far as you and your brother the weight would not be a problem, your height may be something to consider.
