It is awesome for all freshwater fish, bluegills, crappie and bass. I have personally caught smaller redfish and speckled trout and lots of sheepshead on these as well.

The best way I've found to use these jigs is to tie them on, cast them out and let them sink to the bottom. then, slowly pull up on the rod, allowing the lure to bounce off the bottom as you retrieve. With a little practice and patience, you'll be able to find that sweet spot and reel in some big crappie.

Another option is to bounce it slowly off the bottom by lifting your rod tip up a few inches and let it jig in place. This works best when fishing in heavy cover or off of a pier or dock.

Depending on the presentation these soft plastics can work for a variety of fish.

I catch bass, bluegills and Crappie on them as well as saltwater fish too. I have not found a fish that does not love the mix of tails and colors in this kit.

I use this kit any time I need a tube jig. they work great for river smallmouth, and they're also good for panfish.

I have found that the bluegills that I catch rally like the darker colors, browns and blacks, but the chartruese and the reds also get their fair share of fish when you are using them.

In Rhode Island, I found the best colors were the oranges, reds, and golds--especially during late Spring/early Summer. However, with a kit like this, it's easy (and cheap) to experiment with different combinations.

Try to match the tiny baitfish, flys, and even worms. choosing similar colors will increase you cast to fish ratio1
