No don't waste your money. Your best bet is to buy quality 410 shotshells and 45 long colt bullets are the rifle rounds you need.

I shoot the 55 gr. MC (metal case) rounds in my Remington VTR (AR-15) and they shoot great. Last fall I took a crow at 240 yards.

Perfect Fit, no problem at all. I use it in mine all the time. Good ammo for Target shooting up to 200 yards for 55 grain bullets.

A:
No, they are not the same round. Although they are the same size. They have different pressures. So, I imagine your next question is, whether it is safe to use 7.62 round in a .308 caliber weapon? Yes it is. the pressure in the 7.62 is about 10,000 psi less than the .308.

7.62X51mm NATO = .308 Win; not to be confused with 7.62x54mmR or 7.62x39mm which are both russian rounds

A:
7.62 X 51 are the same as .308. The others are not. An example if I am remembering correctly is that the AK-47 uses a 7.62 X 39 - I think.

7.62x39mm (round used in the AK47) actually use bullets that are around .311 in diameter even though 7.62mm=.308

A:
".308 win." .308 winchester and 7.62x51 (Nato) are the same caliber and casing.

They are NOT the same round as 7.62x39. Only the caliber (diameter) of the bullet are the same.
