what is the difference between Floroclear pline which is flourocoated and regular florocarbon line?
Details:
I ordered a 3000 yd spool of Pline Floroclear line. I thought it was a florocarbon line, but the package says it is florocoated. What is the difference. Does this line have all the same characteristics as regular Florocarbon line?

Clear is very good line. After use for another day, I suggest strip off a yard and retie. Carbon is sight resistant where clear is betwwen mono and carbon. Great line for the price...

Floroclear is mono with a florocarbon coating. More stretch, but my experience has been that if you get a good spool itsmore durable than florocarbon. I prefer floroclear over florocarbon for most applications.A:

Florocoated is just that...mono coated in florocarbon. Has a little more stretch, but is the best mono you can buy. Florocarbon has little stretch and is a lot more stiff, so its harder to cast. It is nearly invisible under water, plus, it sinks. Both have their place and I would use both.Images for this Answer
