I've used these rods on many fish from big Snook to Tarpon and they have performed very well. Im sure they will bring terror to those big stripers!

A:
depends on the rod.. the 9'er is rated up to 6oz. I've thrown 4 on it and it threw it without a problem. The model number for this rod is 1026. I believe the 26 mean 2-6oz because that is what my rod is rated for.

A:
It depends on the size of the fishing rod. If you could provide the size of the rod, it would help towards answering your question.

A:
I believe it's an all fiberglass rod. But for $29.95 you can't go wrong. Fiberglass ages and weakens some but for the price you can easily replace one. And think of the GREAT FISHING STORY you can tell if you snap one! I have a 10' and now the 15' rods. The 15' rod is amazingly long and one should be able to cast a long ways with it. So don't hesitate, buy one now and be ready.
