I tie leaders on my braided lines. I use 15 lb fluorocarbon or Yo-Zuri Hybrid. I used 12 lb Yo-Zuri Soft Hybrid recently with 30 lb Spider Wire Stealth main line. The Yo-Zuri I bought a year ago. The line broke on two different hook sets. Don't know if the age of the Yo-Zuri factored in to the break off at the knot. I stepped up to 15 lb. regular Yo-Zuri or pure fluorocarbon. Make sure you tie a good double Unit-Knot and use saliva to cinch the knot. Try to break your 12 lb Yo-Zuri with your hands and test your knot well. My 12 lb line broke too easily. Also, going from 40-65 lb braided to 12 lb leader is a pretty extreme difference, that's why I went with 15 lb.

if your line is breaking on hook sets it may be because your doing whats called "burning" your line when cinching it down to hook eye. you have to remember this is fluorcarbon and not mono. Fluro is more senative to burning than mono. Just make sure your wetting the line real well before cinching it down.

I use the 4# on my light weight combo ( G.Loomis GLX rod and Quantum PTi-10b reel). I live on a stocked lake and have caught at least 2 dozen fish so far this season. Mostly bass, but a few decent size chain pickerel. I have not had one snap off yet.

I have found the Yo-Zuri line is stiff and difficult to cast but if vertically jigging or drifting baits in current it may be an ok choice.

It casts very well. I don't thing it is stiff at all, in fact i may say the opposite. When hung up on rocks, I feel quite a bit of stretch.

Yes because Yo zuri is has a break point of about 5 or 6 lbs more than the lb test. Great line. You could probable get by with 25lb test, but its up to you I use 40lb mono on my catfish rods and never have had but one break it but the fish got hung in rocks so if you might have that problem I was use Braid .

I have used Yo-Zuri and found no difference in the 10# test. ( good line) Just as good as Spiderwire EZ, only a little stiffer.

Twist problems with spinning gear are almost always a result of cranking on a fish while it is taking out line....simply let the fish run and/or tighten the drag.

Uncle Ted, unless you are using a large arbor spinning reel, the 12 lb test is a little heavy for a spinning reel. I usually go no heavier than 10 lb test personally. The next area to look at is how you are spooling the line. Your line should come off the filler spool the same way it loads on the reel. In other words, if it's a spinning reel you should allow the line to come off the end of spool with it lying flat on the floor. A baitcasting reel would require the line to come off with the filler spool revolving in parallel with the spool of the reel. Lastly, make sure your bait or lure selection is not the cause of your line twist. Floating worms and other unweighted lures are notorious for causing this problem. The addition of an in line swivel may solve the problem for you if that's the case. I hope I have helped. I've found the Yozuri Hybrid to be an excellent line.

The line is spooled on your reel backwards. I've done that before too!

If you haven't already, try closing the bail of your reel by hand. Letting it automatically close will add twist to your line. I'm assuming this is pretty twist-sensitive so anything to minimize it is a plus.

Yes, it does sink like fluorocarbon. It may not be quite as dense as a pure fluorocarbon line, but it is definitely heavier than mono.
