Yes they can be used to add a little weight to a lure. Just be aware that it may cause the action of your lure to change a bit, but in some cases that improves the lures attraction. Good Luck.

These would work well if you are planing on adding weight to the line in front of the lure. For actually adding weight to the lure body itself I would doubt if it would work.
